The night ski mountaineering race of the Monterosa Ski District returns in 2025 with its fourteenth edition, ready to provide unforgettable thrills for fans of the sport.

Athletes will start from Staffal, in the picturesque Gressoney Valley, to cross the mountains to Champoluc, in the Ayas Valley, and finally return to the starting point. This is a breathtaking 30-kilometer course with a total positive elevation gain of 2,800 meters, punctuated by 11 gear changes, that will challenge even the most experienced runners. The fastest runners cover this distance in less than three hours, and the record to beat is 2 hours and 28 minutes, set in 2020.

This competition is not for everyone: it is a technical test that requires concentration, rigorous training and mastery of technique. But every effort is repaid by the magic of the night, the charm of the mountain and the satisfaction of having faced one of the most exciting challenges in the ski mountaineering scene. A unique experience, capable of leaving a deep mark in the hearts of those who participate.
