The Gressoney Valley is full of enchanting places, unspoiled landscapes immersed in an amazing nature, which is why over the years this location has been chosen by film productions as a location for commercials, films and TV series even of international caliber.
In 1985 it was chosen by Francesco Nuti to shoot all the outdoor scenes of "Tutta colpa del paradiso" his second film as director, which features the beautiful Ornella Muti as one of its protagonists.
In 2012 Alessandro Genovesi uses Castel Savoia to shoot "Il peggior Natale della mia vita" a film starring Diego Abatantuono, Fabio De Luigi, Cristiana Capotondi and Dino Abbrescia.
In 2016, the Cupertino-based company Apple chose to send its Christmas greetings from the mountains of Gressoney and did so with a commercial featuring cabaret actor and voice actor Brad Garrett as a Christmas Frankenstein.
Also in 2016 it is the turn of Jamie Trevor Oliver, British chef, TV host, writer and entrepreneur who brings his kitchenshow "Jamie's Italian Christmas" to Gressoney where he will try his hand at traditional Gressoney dishes along with Mercedes David and Vanda Favre.
From October 2017 for nine weeks, Lotus Production brings to Gressoney "The Generi" a TV series aired on NowTv, a journey through the most famous genres of entertainment, seen through the eyes of the protagonist Gianfelice Spagnagatti aka Maccio Capatonda.
In 2020 Francesca Frigo's documentary "Il seme del futuro" with Giorgio Vacchiano addresses the issue of climate change.
In 2021 Ridley Scott comes to shoot some scenes of his film "House of Gucci" Adam Driver and Lady Gaga as cognizants Maurizio Gucci and Paola Franchi among the slopes of Weissmatten, Villa Loubenò and the streets of Gressoney-La-Trinité.
Also in 2021, "Sopravvissuti" the series directed by Carmine Elia and starring Lino Guanciale and Barbora Bobulova, lands in Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-Trinité.
In 2022, Fargo Production brings the Bocelli family to Gressoney; the streets of the town center and the Castello Savoia in Christmas garb are the setting for "The Greatest Gift" a musical permeated with fairy-tale atmospheres and Christmas carols.
