A unique Trail Running event to discover the Walser people.
Put yourself to the test with the Monte Rosa WalserWaeg, the Lys Valley sports event composed of 4 races of different lengths and difficulty. Each route gives you the chance to discover the most scenic and hidden corners of the Gressoney Valley with trails for everyone: children, families, beginners and experts.
This is the longest route, amounting to 90 kilometers and a positive elevation gain of 7200 meters.
The Ultra Trail enjoys spectacular views of the massif of Monte Rosa and through the Vallone di Loo, passing through the Walser village of Niel, passing the Lazoney pass, the Grande Mologna, the Col de la Vecchia, to the Crenna dou Leu. Arriving in Issime, continue through Gaby in the direction of the Colle della Forca, Colletto Taf and Punta Regina.
The second route is the Trail Monte Rosa, a circuit of more than 45 kilometers and with a positive elevation gain of about 3500 meters.
Besides offering beautiful views of Monte Rosa, the real gem of this race is the passage on the ancient Walser trail, the WalserWaeg. It is a technical and challenging route, rewarded by the beauty of its landscapes and villages.
The Run Monte Rosa is the third trail, a 15-kilometer loop with an elevation gain of 650 meters.
It passes between the two centers of Gressoney Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-Trinité, through the Walser villages of Alpenzù grande and Alpenzù piccolo, the Queen's walk and the hamlet of Rong. The race is ideal for those who want to approach the discipline of trail running, a tour to discover the two Gressoney without any particular technical difficulties.
Mini Trail is the trail dedicated to children and young people up to 15 years old.

Registration is open from December 1, 2023 and will close on June 5, 2024, please note that once the maximum number of participants of 800 is reached, the registration will automatically close. Registration fees include race bib, refreshments along the route, race pack, post-race meal and gadget for finishers.
