The traditional concert of the band “Filarmonica Regina Margherita” of Gaby is back, to celebrate the end of 2023.
The band was founded in 1922 by Mrs. Teresa Yon, teacher of primary school in the village. Among the founding members also appears the name of the then Queen of Italy who loved to spend her holidays in the Lys Valley and from whom derives the name of the philharmonic group. In 1998 the current maestro Renato Yon took over the musical direction.
The activity of the band includes performances both in neighboring municipalities and in other Italian regions, as well as in various national and international events.
The repertoire includes traditional and modern marches, original band music and transcriptions from the symphonic repertoire, but also movie soundtracks.
