Learning to ski has never been easier

Pista Bettaforca S. Anna

When it comes to learning to ski or improving one's skiing skills, be it downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, snowboarding or freeriding, there is no doubt that one of the most valuable resources is a reliable ski school and qualified instructors.

Here are some reasons why they are important: ski schools employ qualified and certified instructors who are experienced in guiding beginners through the basics of skiing or honing the techniques of more advanced skiers. Instructors teach not only skiing techniques, but also safety practices on the slopes and the courses are structured; with private ski school lessons you will make progress faster than learning on your own.

Ski instructors inspire and motivate students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals, always in a healthy environment, surrounded by nature and with the main motive of having fun and feeling good.

Book your lesson and enjoy learning in a breathtaking setting at the foot of Monte Rosa.

Gressoney Monterosa Ski School

The Gressoney Monterosa Ski School is located at the start of the main Monterosa Ski area, in Staffal.

Founded in 1986, the school was born from the merger of two older schools, Punta Jolanda and Bettaforca, which, thanks to their instructors, driven by their love of skiing and the mountains, decided many years ago to promote the passion for this discipline that is as demanding as it is fun.

Over the years the experience has increased and the school has grown a lot, both in terms of the number of instructors available and the number of disciplines to be taught. Today they are an association of professionals with two easily accessible locations where you can book your experiences.

Gressoney Cross-country Ski School

Cross-country skiing began in Gressoney in the 1970s, giving birth to many athletes who have had excellent results in this discipline of hard work and endurance.

The Gressoney cross-country ski school has among its students many well-known names in cross-country skiing, including Arianna Follis, world sprint champion in 2009, and the current national team member Francesco De Fabiani, but also the brothers Mark and Karen Chanlung, who compete for the Thai national team, and there is no shortage of new promises.

All this demonstrates the value of the ski instructors of our cross-country school, their passion for teaching and all the commitment they put into transferring this discipline to all the guests who want to try their hand at a complete sport that allows them to be in contact with nature, immersed in unique landscapes.

The school offers individual or group lessons in classic or skating technique, depending on your choice. In the classic style, you move within two previously marked grooves that run parallel. In skating, no track is to be followed and the steps are performed outside any track.
